The South Shore Anchors
play in Division I of the New England
Rugby Football Union (NERFU). The
Anchors roster includes players from
all walks of life, continents, and
levels of experience. Rugby backgrounds
range from international play,
extensive college and high school
to novices. The Anchors have about
30-40 active players. Most games
are played within eastern Mass & are
followed by a B side game. These matches follow A-Side
matches every Saturday.
The team welcomes all committed athletes. Whatever your size or skill,
there is a position on the field for you. We train twice a week, Tuesdays
and Thursdays (7:00 p.m.), at the Ralph Talbot School in Weymouth , MA
during the spring and fall seasons.
The South Shore Anchors goal is to play, serve and promote the game of rugby in accordance with the USA and New England Rugby Football Unions on the South Shore of Massachusetts.
We encourage and invite all players, spectators, officials and spectators from Boston, Dorchester, Milton, Quincy, Hull, Scituate, Holbroke, Lakeville, Whitman, Hanson, Halifax,
Middleborough, Lakeville, Weymouth, Hingham, Canton, Dedham, Norwood, Stoughton, Randolph, Easton, Foxborough, Holbrook, Abington, Pembroke, Brockton, Marshfield, Brockton, Hanson,
Bridgewater, Duxbury, Kingston, Plymouth, Raynham, Taunton, Fall River, Wareham, New Bedford and Cape Cod who participate at all levels of the game to become involved and to help grow and foster rugby on the South Shore and Cape Cod.
If you are here for summer, school, or are on a short-term placement, the Anchors take great pride in our hospitality and welcomes visiting players.
